Derrick Henderson started working at

"Simply the Best Look" this past May

as the Product Training Manager. A high

end men's clothing company located in

Beverly Hills California.

It is 8:00 am Monday morning and

Derrick's boss Steve Wolfengolf who is

the Product Training Director presents

him his next project. Steve explains to

Derrick in two weeks the company is

holding a training seminar for all of their

store managers. The seminar will be

about the new line coming out in the fall, how to turn a one time buyer in to a repeat buyer and how to perform even better customer service. Steve continues to explain to Derrick,

we need to have a instructor (facilitator) who will be presenting the training information through a Microsoft® PowerPoint presentation with a participant guide for each store manager who attends.

Once Steve finished explaining everything, Derrick wasted no time at all, he first calls Joyce over at "Writing Is What We Do" who he has worked with on many different projects before. Derrick quickly calls Joyce on the telephone "Joyce, I have a project for you if you are interested." Joyce replies, "What kind of project?" Derrick tells her, it is a one day training seminar for a high end men's clothing company. The content needs to focus on the new line coming out in the fall, how to turn a one time buyer in to a repeat buyer and how to perform even better customer service. We need to have a participant guide in Microsoft® Word form and facilitator guide in Microsoft® PowerPoint form. Joyce replies, "Sure, we can do that for you and have something to you in a couple of days to look at." Derrick tells her thank you and he looks forward to reading what they come up with. Derrick and Joyce say goodbye and hang up.

Next Derrick called Albert over at SCUOTTO GRAPHICS PLUS (SGP) on the telephone "Albert I could really use your help." Albert replies, "What do you need?" Derrick tells him, "I have a Microsoft® Word file that needs to be turned into a participant guide and a Microsoft® PowerPoint file into a facilitator guide with custom background and text cleaned up. The writer will be sending it over to you once we have approved the content. Albert replies, Sure no problem, let me know when it is ready. Derrick and Albert say goodbye and hang up.

The following week Steve checks in with Derrick for an update. Derrick informed him all material has been completed, everything is ready to go for the seminar on Monday morning. Steve looked over the completed project report with all of the final totals and noticed that Derrick came in under budget and with a quick turnaround time. Steve was very pleased with the overall outcome of the project and with Derrick's performance.

The Product Training Seminar went off great; all store managers (participants) raved about it and received a lot of useful information to take back with them.
